Uninstallation of 3SKey Software 4.2.0 over Remote Desktop

Steps to take before uninstalling

You have installed the 3SKey Software 4.2.0 over Remote Desktop, for instance on a remote server or a virtual machine, and you want to remove the software from your system.

The uninstallation over Remote Desktop can leave unneeded files behind. The uninstallation process was enhanced in version 4.2.1 of the 3SKey Software.

To remove the software and clean up your system, we recommend updating the 3SKey Software from version 4.2.0 to version 4.2.1 and then uninstalling version 4.2.1.

Note: The below procedure is only required when version 4.2.0 of the 3SKey Software was installed over Remote Desktop. The procedure is not required when uninstalling from a local system or when uninstalling other versions of the 3SKey software over Remote Desktop. Procedure

To remove the 3SKey Software 4.2.0 over Remote Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Update the software to version 4.2.1 (without uninstalling 4.2.0), which will update Safenet Authentication Client to version 10.9 R1

2. Restart the remote system

3. Uninstall version 4.2.1, which will remove the 3SKey Software and the Safenet Authentication client software
