How to use 3SKey with Citrix or in a Microsoft Terminal Services (TSE) environment
I intend to use 3SKey in a Citrix or in a Microsoft TSE
The use of a 3SKey basic token (eToken PRO) or a 3SKey high token (eToken NG-FLASH) is compatible with a Citrix or a Microsoft TSE.
- In a Citrix environment, the token must be inserted on a Citrix client that connects to a Citrix server running, for example, a Citrix Presentation Server.
- In a TSE environment, the token must be inserted on a client that connects to the server (for example) over Remote Desktop.
Procedure (Citrix)
- XenApp 6.5 and XenDesktop 7.5 are the minimum supported versions
- You must perform the 3SKey token installation on the client as described in the 3SKey Token Installation Guide.
- The software must be installed on each client host as well as on the server.
- Requirement from the installation guide applies to the server and all client machines
- The redirect of the USB ports or smart card resources must be enabled
- Plug the token into the client before starting the session to the server.
Procedure (TSE)
- You must perform the 3SKey token software installation on the remote machine as described in the 3SKey Token Installation Guide.
- The software does not have to be installed on each client.
- You must forward the USB ports from the client machine to the remote server. For instance using MSTSC.exe this can be done by going to options > local resources > more, and tick the “Ports” checkbox
Please note that SWIFT has not qualified the 3SKey Token in those environments.
