Problem logging in to the 3SKey portal after installing IE11

If you are on a Windows 7 or Windows 8 system with Internet Explorer 11 then you may encounter the following error:

Since the release of Internet Explorer 11 the TLS 1.1 and 1.2 settings are enabled by default. Those settings which were disabled in previous versions of Internet Explorer are not supported by the 3SKey portal.

How to fix:

This error is due to the fact that installing Internet Explorer 11 returns the SSL/TLS settings back to their default. To fix this:

  1. Go to: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Security
  2. and uncheck the boxes:
    • Use TLS1.1
    • Use TLS1.2
